Prepare Your Cauldron

To withdraw into the darkest time of the year is a solitary practice, and yet we can move through and with it together.

Get quiet and still to hear and notice what becomes visible in the dark.

Prepare the Winter Cauldron in the evening.

With loving hands create a space to welcome your morning self.

✨ Lay out warm socks and place your favorite tea/coffee mug on the kitchen table

✨ Prepare your tea or coffee pot so that all you need to do in the morning is add hot water

✨ Place nourishing morning snacks on a plate

✨ Prepare candles and incense in your space

✨ Decorate your altar with winter gifts - old leaves, sticks and rocks

✨ Place your journal and art supplies on the floor, or in a basket, next to warm blankets and soft pillows

✨ Have your computer set up where you want to have it in the morning

You can choose any space in your home to join from in the morning.

If you want to stay snuggled down in bed, that’s okay, you can still prepare for that in your bedroom.

We will meet in the dark.

That means that I invite you to keep your lamps turned off and to not light any candles to begin with.

You can still burn some incense if you like.

Of course there will be some light pollution from the computer, but you can turn down the screen light to as low as possible.

See you in the morning 🕯️
